E) First person character animation with Maya
You can create first person animation with a camera on maya, by creating a path for the camera through the scene and then attaching the camera to that and it will move along the path once viewing from the point of view of the camera. In addition, you can try the walk tool, which allows you to mimic the controls of a game and walk the the scene, this can be accessed with View>camera tools>walk tool.
Bones can be used for animating the character, for instance if they walk the bones will make the leg bend like a joint, which can then be animated with keyframes. the use of bones will be useful for my scene as I may need to model a hand with bent fingers, thus bones will take part in the animation. I will use a path with the camera for a smoother and easier animation from the point of view from the character, with the path, the camera can also be panned up and down and left and right (part of he brief).
Animation keying of a chair toppling:
You can use keyframes in maya to make a chair topple. To do this, press S to set the first keyframe before gradually moving the object and pressing S again. A keyframe will need to be set after each gradual movement as the chair topples. After the chair has been fully toppled you can press play and the animation will play out and you can alter the FPS so it can be sped up or slowed down. I will use the keyframe technique to move the doors and topple an object that the character walks into.

e needs labelling, plus should be techniques, so more than one, eg bones, or first-person camera animation - what would work for your game plan?
